This review is long overdue! I was looking through my photos and remembered I never left a review.
I stayed at Yambi Guesthouse for two weeks a couple summers ago. From the moment I got there until the time I left, the staff made me feel at home. They were knowledgeable about local and further sites, flexible and helpful in booking tours, and hospitable in the way they treated myself and other guests. I stayed in one of their private rooms with en suite bathroom. The cost was great for the space and quality of the room.
I spent my birthday with Yambi, taking an early morning - day long safari. When the tour guide (shout out to Mico) and I arrived back at Yambi, the staff had surprised me by getting me a birthday cake (shout out to Paul)! I will sincerely never forget my time in Rwanda because of this place. I hope to visit again one day 🧡
I hope you all are well!

Great quiet location and a great staff.
The guys at the guest hous eheloed us out alot and therefor we also went with their touring agency. We told them what we wanted to see in Rwanda, and for how long we wanted it to last. They made us a package deal. We went to Twin lakes, Volcanoes national park (without gorilla trecking), farmers experience with banana beer making and local dancers and singers, Lake Kivu, Umusambi village, Kings palace, and a two day Akagera tour. In Akagera we had a guide for one day and we saw elephants, lions, impalas, antilopes, crocodiles, hippos, eagles, giraffes, and many more.
I recommend this place!

Thanks for your discount that allowed us to discover mid-October both East (Akagera) and North-West of Rwanda (Kivu & Volcans).
We want particularly congratulate here the high quality of Alvi Manzi, our guide. Indeed he offers a real plus on Yambi Tours by bringing not only safe and smooth drive, but a deep knowledge on treasure, culture, history and way of life in Rwanda. It is much appreciate and could be more advertised in your website, as it would be more attractive for foreigners.
Hoping more tourists to Yambi Tours!

If you are looking to travel around any part of Rwanda and experience all the country has to offer, then I highly recommend Yambi tours. Our guide Mico not only helped us to design our itinerary and accompanied us on trips, but made us feel like we had a local friend who we could turn to for advice and recommendations. His energy and enthusiasm are infectious, and his knowledge about his country makes for a fun and informative tour. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Rwanda, all thanks to Yambi tours.

Paul is an excellent tour guide, it was a pleasure to spend the day with him. I found both Ntarama and Nyamata Churches hard, but important, to visit. The guides at the Churches were fantastic, and I appreciate that Paul encouraged me to take my time reading the plaques after finishing with the guide. Lake Bugesera, where we had lunch, was lovely. The baboons were certainly a highlight, as was the quick boat trip. I feel that the price was perfect for this trip, especially doing it as a solo traveller. Highly highly recommend.
