A non-refundable deposit of 100% must be made and a confirmation issued by YAMBI Tours (company) before any binding contract exists. Once we receive your deposit, we will invoice you for the entire tour cost. This must be paid not less than 60 days before the start of the tour (or by an alternative date agreed between you and the our company).
For transactions conducted onsite at our offices in Rwanda, Uganda or Ethiopia, a 3% credit card processing fee will be applied in addition to Value Added Tax (VAT) which will be charged as required by each country’s tax regulations:
Gorilla and tourist permits are non-refundable with a 100% cancellation fee. However, we understand that plans can change. As such, we offer the option to reschedule your permit or booking for a 30% processing fee. Please note that rescheduling is subject to permit availability and any price differences at the time of rebooking.
We reserve the right to cancel the contract before full payment for any reason, with a full refund provided. After full payment, cancellation will only occur due to unavoidable circumstances beyond our control.
In such cases, we’ll offer you an equivalent service or a full refund. No additional compensation will be paid beyond the total sum received from you.
Refund Processing: Refunds will be processed within 14 business days to the original payment method, with email notification of the refund status.
The Company is not responsible for unforeseen circumstances such as flight, bus or train delays or cancellations; the failure of embassies or consulates to issue visas; the inaccessibility of certain tourist attractions due to the actions of government bodies; the actions or services of accommodation and other facilities visited during the tour; or incidents such as injury, illness, or loss of personal belongings.
Travel insurance is mandatory for all Clients. At the time of booking, each Client must arrange his or her own insurance, with protection for the full duration of the tour, to cover personal injury, medical expenses, repatriation expenses, loss of luggage, and the expenses associated with cancellation or curtailment of a tour.
If you become ill, all hospital expenses, doctor fees, and repatriation costs are your responsibility and the Company shall not be liable for any refund of the tour cost.
We are committed to maintaining the accuracy, confidentiality, and security of your personally identifiable information (“Personal Information”). As part of this commitment, our privacy policy governs our actions as they relate to the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information. We are responsible for maintaining and protecting the Personal Information under our control.
Payment for the tour is a critical component of our operations, essential for covering pre-tour expenses such as permits, hotels, vehicles, visa etc. Given that these costs are incurred well before the tour commences, we’ve implemented a cancellation policy with associated charges to offset potential losses.
Late Payment Consequences: Failure to pay within 15 days of the due date may result in cancellation of your booking, with the deposit forfeited. You will be notified via email of any impending cancellation due to non-payment.
All cancellations must be submitted in writing by the individual or tour operator who made the booking. Please email hello@yambitours.com to initiate the cancellation process. Once the tour begins, no refunds will be given for unused portions or services. Any changes or early departures from the tour will be at your own expense and liability.

While changes to your tour are unlikely, we may occasionally need to make minor adjustments before or after booking. We’ll inform you promptly of any modifications. We reserve the right to alter the itinerary after departure if it’s in your best interest, without compensation. Additionally, we won’t provide compensation for cancellations or changes due to force majeure events beyond our control, such as natural disasters, political unrest, or severe weather.
